Ready to learn how to tackle the new freestyle terrain at South? Our Switch Academy was made just for you. Whether you are new to the parks or just looking to sharpen your skills, Switch Academy is perfect for any skier or snowboarder comfortable on intermediate terrain, ages 6 to 106 who wants to tackle the park this season. Our program focuses on teaching proper progression skills using the ATML Model (Approach, Take Off, Maneuver and Landing) and promoting safety education by providing information on park safety and etiquette based on the national safety program Smart Style.
Let our coaches teach you or your kids the skills and focus needed to tackle the parks at South with confidence and ease. The eight districts at South have been designed with progression in mind, and the Switch Academy will take a focused, season-long approach to teaching every level of rider or skier how to tackle the various features appropriate for their skill level within the freestyle terrain environment.
SWITCH ACADEMY SEASONAL PROGRAM: Kids from 6 to age 106 who enroll in Switch Academy will build and develop their freestyle skills throughout this focused, season-long coaching program. Classes are kept small, with an average of 4-5 students so that coaches can work directly with each skier or rider to develop and hone their skills throughout the progressive terrain at South. Switch Academy meets from 10am-2pm on Saturdays and Sundays at South for 11 weeks between December 22nd and March 2nd.
Participants will be grouped by ability level. You must be able to ski or ride intermediate and advanced terrain, but are not required to have freestyle experience. A lift ticket or All Access Season pass is required to participate in any lesson program. Switch Academy Seasonal participants can purchase just the lesson program or add an All Access Season Pass!
SWITCH ACADEMY DROP IN SESSIONS:Excited to hit the new park at South, but you've never skied or rode park before? Or maybe you're just looking to brush up your skills before progressing to medium or large features? Or do you want to look cool in front of your kids, by shredding in the park alongside them? Our Drop-In Sessions could be the perfect fit for you!
Open to "Kid ages 6 to 106" our Switch Academy Drop-In Sessions are held at South. Classes are 1¾ hours long. Scheduled classes are at 10am and 2pm on Saturdays and Sunday. Other times are available throughout the week but must be schedule at the Switch Academy Desk in the South Lodge. Featuring small classes with just 3-5 students for plenty of individual attention, Drop-Ins focus on teaching you how to tackle the features appropriate for your skill level, and help you progress to the next level. Participants must be comfortable on intermediate terrain, but are not required to have freestyle experience. Price includes lesson only, a lift ticket or All Access Season Pass is required to participate in any lesson program.

Cancellation Policy:
• Mountain Creek will take full payment at the time of reservation on a credit card. Alternate payment cannot be used upon arrival.
• Lessons may be cancelled with a full refund with more than 48 hours notice.
• A $50 fee will apply to cancellations with less than 48 hours of notice.
• Lessons may be rescheduled up to an hour before the lesson time for the 07/08 season. Reservations will not be carried over to the 08/09 season. All guests wishing to cancel or reschedule their lessons should be directed to the Ride & Ski School Sales Center at 973-864-8165.
• Failure to cancel or reschedule before the start of the lesson will result in forfeiture of all monies paid.
• There will be no refunds on Seasonal Programs, Kids Kamp Memberships, or Season Passes.
