Dressing properly is a major part of having a great time skiing and snowboarding. We recommend that you check the weather forecast before heading to the mountain.
Below is a list of quick tips for dressing properly:
Wear only one pair of warm, but not overly thick socks - do not wear multiple pairs of thick socks. This will reduce circulation and actually make your feet colder.
Wear socks that at least come up to your shins, so that they will extend to the top or above ski or snowboard boots.
Remember that weather conditions often change throughout the day
Dress in layers for warmth and adaptability, such as a fleece under a shell jacket
Bring gloves or mittens - mittens can be warmer, but offer less dexterity
Don't forget eye protection - goggles or sunglasses
If you don't choose to wear a helmet, bring a warm hat
Wear water proof or water resistant pants
Bring extra dry clothes for the ride home
