It's been sunny, blue skies, and soft spring conditions all week. Our groomers have made the mountain look awesome even in the midst of the rain and warm weather. It has been so fun out... get here after work & school and enjoy these spring-like days! Plus we're offering incredible lift ticket deals and we just extended our season!
Okay- it's rained, it's iced, and it's been groomed. Despite the bad weather over the weekend... Sunday started a new trend and the color blue is in. The pipe has been freshly cut, Freeskier was here doing a photo shoot, and we saw smiling faces under the sun. The conditions are pretty darn good out there! If you're surprised, you should get out to see for yourself. C'Mon back up to winter!
The rain put a bit of a damper on the snow and Burton You, ME, and EST came out to demo '09 Burton product. Park Crew and Grooming Crew worked around the clock to get the mountain groomed and looking good in corduroy. Spring-like conditions make for super fun runs, sun shining in your face, and soft conditions to perfect your carves
If you haven't seen it yet, then get down to South to try out the halfpipe. 300 feet long with 14 foot walls! Word onthe mountain is that the halfpipe is super fun and makes for a smooth ride.

You have got to get out this weekend and all week! The conditions are awesome! It's soft powder and it's fast... It's so fun! And remember... your 5x7 pass works the same and gives you full access Monday - Friday even though its a holiday week. So there is no excuse to why you're missing out on some of the best conditions so far!

WOW! After 11 truck loads of snow, flat bed filled with features, some man-held shoveling, and no sleep for 24 hours straight, Park Crew, Events Team, and Aura 360 came together and built the sickest mini park in dead middle of Union Square. Tons of people and tons of Free stuff! Big ups to local rider Tom Weiss who made it all the way to the finals and finished 7th overall. Mike Casanova went home with the $15k in First Place, Jason Dubois took Second, and Chris Rotax took Third. Lucas Magoon seemed to be the crowd pleaser during the final round with crazy ollies over the 13 foot Red Bull wall and killing it on the 6 foot barrel bonk, landing 4th overall.
By end of day the rain will go away and in moves snow showers for weekend play! Now through Friday show your Giants pride. We'll give a $17 lift ticket for a day to ride. It's the perfect week to come hang out... no lift lines, no crowds, tons of terrain to roam about. Anyway, a little rain shouldn't hold you back. Some of us still made it out for first tracks! The sun is peeping through... can you see it? Check the mountain report... go read it! This afternoon calls for better weather! Start getting ready & get everyone together! We're open!
This weekend may have been the perfect weekend! Blue skies, 30 degree weather, and Jersey powder!
It didn't stop there- We had the great pleasure of skiing under Colorado-like conditions on Saturday with Senator Frank Lautenberg. He picked the cream of the days to be on the hill – snow conditions were perfect. ‘Frank’ as we call him now, regaled us with tales of putting his own edges on skis back in the day, but was sporting the latest in ski technology from helmet to boots (included moto-style black leather gloves emblazoned with his name!), and cruised the entire mountain like an old pro. He should – he’s an avid skier for more years than matter, and his family spread far-and-wide works hard to follow his head and keep up. We weren’t sure what we’d talk about with a US Senator, but found many common points and people of interest, and the guy knows something about everything. Thanks for the great morning on snow Senator Frank – keep it in Jersey and come up to visit again soon!
Plus Tubbs Romp to Stomp led a 5 mile snowshoe hike to raise money for Breast Cancer Research. Thanks to all 150 people who came out and helped raise $7,500! It was ladies weekend... Girls learn to ride and K2's Pretty in Pink Rail Jam capped the weekend.

If you missed out on the event this past Saturday... you really missed out! It was crazy FUN! We hosted an off the wall rail jam, graffiti artists, live performances, and an insane after party. If you missed out this weekend you better be in for even bigger fun next weekend with Kink of the Night.
Yeah... the weather hasn't been the greatest but we're still having fun. Cold is in the forcast... that means more snowmaking. Thanks to the die-hards who came out with a bunch of junk and had fun with it. Please note: we do not allow tobogganing on the mountain... It was just a prop for the morning session.
We've got fresh snow, great blue-bird weather, and lots of fun terrain to play on! Did you ever hit a 60, or better yet, 70 foot jump before? Cruize along - go nuts... See you in 2008!
It might be wet outside, but we're still having fun and we still have lots of terrain open with good conditions. A little bit of loose granular never stopped us from carving the shavings going into the new year. And don't foget to buy your season pass if you haven't done so yet; prices go up Jan. 1st.
