Mountain Creek is delighted to announce that it has once again partnered with the Vernon Township Police Department to serve as the starting point for the statewide 23nd Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run to benefit the Special Olympics of New Jersey
The Sussex County Chamber of Commerce awarded Mountain Creek the coveted Tourism Award, celebrating the resort’s success in hosting the Chevrolet U.S. Snowboard Grand Prix this winter.
Mountain Creek is pleased to announce that reservations are now being accepted for The Appalachian hotel, set to open on July 1, 2006. 
The calendar may say that spring has arrived, but here at Mountain Creek we’re not ready to say goodbye to winter just yet.  Mountain Creek has once again fired up the snowguns and is putting down fresh powder to extend the season through at least the coming weekend of March 25-26, 2006.
For the past five years, Mountain Creek and the Vernon PAL have joined forces in active fundraising efforts to help fund youth and family programs, and are proud to announce the 2005 Season Pass Sale raised over $31,000 for the PAL.
On Saturday, March 11th Mountain Creek will bring two imaginative and unusual events to the resort for guests of all ages and ability levels, The Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam, and the Z100 Snowplow Luau and Pond Skimming.
Mountain Creek is thrilled to add a new component to its ongoing relationship with the Chill Program, with the first ever Career Day to be held at the resort on Wednesday, March 1, 2006.  After six weeks of learning to snowboard, the Chill kids have been given the opportunity to take part in a full day of working and living in a resort environment. 
Mountain Creek’s terrain parks have been named among the best in North America by 50 top professional freeskiers, according to Freeskier magazine’s February Terrain Park Guide.
Mountain Creek is thrilled to announce the return of two national events, The Burton Super Demo and rail jam and the Mid- Atlantic Snowboard Series on February 24-26, 2006.

Mountain Creek will host a blood drive on Sunday, February 12, 2006 from 9:00am until 2:00pm in the Mezzanine at Mountain Creek's South Lodge located on Route 94 in Vernon.  The first 120 donors will receive a complimentary lift ticket courtesy of Mountain Creek.

After the warmest January on record, winter has finally arrived and Mountain Creek is taking advantage of its investment in the most powerful snowmaking system available, SnoLab26.  

Mountain Creek and USSA have worked with NBC and OLN, the rights-holding broadcasters, to permit broadcast access under the following provisions prior to NBC’s airing on Sunday, January 22, 2006.
The U.S. Olympic Snowboard Halfpipe Team will qualify exclusively through three Chevrolet US Snowboard Grand Prix events with scoring based on the best two out of five halfpipe contests. The elite field at Mountain Creek was determined by the results of the earlier contests
The face of the 2006 U.S. Snowboard Olympic Team is taking shape, and the field has been set for the final Chevrolet U.S. Snowboard Grand Prix halfpipe competition at Mountain Creek, which will also determine the U.S. Olympic Halfpipe Team.

In an effort to raise community awareness and help support the battle against breast cancer, Mountain Creek will host The Tubbs Snowshoe Romp to Stomp Out Breast Cancer race Saturday, January 27 2007. The benefit puts a new twist on charity runs and walks: introducing a 3k or 5k scenic showshoe hike on snow covered trails. 100% of the donations will go to the Komen foundation and the Northern NJ affiliate to benefit cancer research, education and screening.

The most powerful snowmaking system in the nation has blanketed Mountain Creek resort’s trails with snow since taking back winter in early January.  The resort is continuing to strategically focus this snowmaking power to reopen the few remaining runs, and the South Base will open this Sunday, February 11th.  Part of that state-of-the-art system was recently put to work creating enough snow to build a winter wonderland right in the heart of Manhattan! 
Its been another busy summer at Mountain Creek with over $500,000 worth of on-hill improvements, new rental gear and the much-anticipated opening of The Appalachian hotel, the resort’s new premium ski-in/ski-out lodging facility. 
Mountain Creek is pleased to again host the Third Annual Korean Ski Festival in partnership with the Korean American Association of New Jersey.
On Saturday, November 4th from 10am-3pm, Mountain Creek will host a book and bake sale in the Mountain Express at Vernon Base to benefit Harvest House, a community lunch program located in Vernon.  The local program serves hot meals to individuals and families in need and relies on donations and charitable fundraising events to keep their pantry full.

Events are a vital part of the scene at Mountain Creek and this year the resort is thrilled to bring a packed-out schedule of diverse competitions, industry showcases and progression programs to riders and skiers of every age and ability level.

This weekend, Mountain Creek learned that 11 more weeks until winter just isn’t acceptable for terrain park enthusiasts on the east coast.  Roughly 200 snow-hungry skiers and riders and over 100 spectators made their way to the “Back In The Saddle” rail jam Saturday, September 30.
Mountain Creek strives to maintain open lines of communications with the resort community, communicating regularly through active websites, newsletters, email blasts and now bi-weekly digital podcasts.
 The Salomon Oasis tour is returning to Mountain Creek February 12th- 13th.  The Sixth Annual Salomon Oasis will hit 13 winter resorts this season. The weekend-long celebration will feature free equipment and apparel demos and Salomon product giveaways.

It’s that time of year again, when New Jersey’s unique rural landscape is draped in vivid shades of crimson and gold. Here at Mountain Creek, one of the best ways to catch the splendor of the Sussex Skylands’ autumn colors is to be whisked to the top of mountain in the 8-passenger open-air Cabriolet gondola. 

 More than 600 Special Olympic athletes from the area are competing in Floor Hockey, Alpine and Cross-Country Skiing, Figure Skating and Speed Skating as part of the Winter Games. The Alpine Skiing competition was again held at Mountain Creek on January 31 and February 1, 2005.
Friday night the 26th of January brought some chilly temperatures along with over 150 riders to Mountain Creek for one of the most anticipated amateur contests of the season, the Volcom Peanut Butter & Rail Jam.

Mountain Creek will hold their annual Fall Blow Out Sale on Saturday, September 30 from 9:00am – 5:00pm, and Sunday, October 1 from 9:00am – 5:00pm in the Vernon Base area. As an added bonus, Mountain Creek will be carting in snow and kicking off the first rail jam of the season, followed by an Original Skateboards Long Board Demo

 Mountain Creek Resort, Pace Institute of Karate, Skylands Ice World and Frontier Lanes have partnered to support the federal VERBTM youth marketing campaign with a promotion targeted at local third graders (age 8-9), with the goal of urging children, parents, teachers, counselors and the like, to encourage kids to get out and do something physical this winter.
In a continuing effort to represent the cutting edge of snow-sports, Mountain Creek has developed the Switch Academy.  A "park and pipe" freeride program in a camp format, the Switch Academy was developed for both skiers and snowboarders ages 5 and up, who are comfortable on intermediate terrain.

For the third consecutive year,  Mountain Creek and the Vernon Township Kiwanis Club are pleased to announce that the Alan Zerbini Olde Tyme Circus will be performing in the Mountain Creek South Parking Lot on Friday, October 6, 2006. The circus is an important fundraiser, providing resources for Kiwanis’ scholarship program and other service projects for the children of Vernon.

Thanks to the recent artic blast, winter is finally upon us and Mountain Creek has been making tons of snow in anticipation of our re-OPENING day this Friday, January 19th.   With the warmest December on record behind us, all signs point toward cold temperatures settling in – perfect conditions to put our powerful SnoLab26 to work.
Winter is making a comeback.  There’s a fresh coat of white across the slopes here at Mountain Creek and we’re planning to reopen next Friday, January 19th at Vernon Base.
The second stop of the Chevrolet U.S. Snowboard Grand Prix, originally slated for Feb. 2-4 at Mountain Creek Resort, NJ, will be relocated to a resort in the western United States due to unseasonable temperatures on the east coast.

Modified Madness, the East Coast's renowned custom car show will pack the Mammouth Parking Lot at Mountain Creek on Saturday, September 9th from 11am-8pm with hundreds of top quality show cars, live musical performances, exclusive celebrity rides, a sound-off competition, contests and the Street Trendz world famous models.

Mountain Creek is thrilled to announce that Noah’s Landing restaurant will be opening this summer in The Appalachian hotel.  Noah’s Landing, owned by Jean-Charles and Marla Saben, will be an all-American family-style bar and grill offering a wide selection of familiar menu items in a warm and inviting atmosphere slopeside.
