Mountain Creek Raises $40K+ for PAL

Author: Shannon McSweeney

For the past six years, Mountain Creek and the Vernon PAL have joined forces in active fundraising efforts to help fund youth and family programs, and are proud to announce the 2006 Season Pass Sale raised over $40,000 for the PAL, an increase of $9,000 over last year.

The annual PAL Season Pass Sale has raised over $100,000 for the PAL in the past four years.  This annual event offers the local community reduced prices on Season Passes, and a sign up location for the Ski and Snowboard Club, run by the PAL and endorsed by Vernon schools.  The Vernon PAL has the largest after-school ski program among any group at Mountain Creek with close to 500 local children ages 8 – 18 participating each winter.

Pat Seger, Assistant Director Vernon PAL said: ““Working together for our community is a fantastic endeavor.  Vernon PAL is very pleased to be working with Mountaind Creek and Jorgen Brich.  It is a wonderful relationship that works together to provide residents with great prices for quality skiing while providing a great fundraiser for Vernon P.A.L. and our community.  Everyone benefits by joining forces.   Thank you Mountain Creek for your willingness to help our community and being a great neighbor.”

Jorgen Brich, Senior Sales Manager, Mountain Creek said: “Mountain Creek is proud to host the local school endorsed ski club.  It is fantastic to see so many children embrace this winter sport knowing they will be lifelong participants of a healthy outdoor activity.  Mountain Creek is happy to partner with the PAL to offer this fundraising opportunity to a very active local youth oriented organization. It is important to Mountain Creek to support youth programs in our community, and $40,000 will go a long way in funding the PAL’s youth and family initiatives.”
