The ski season officially started today, with Arapahoe Basin in Colorado officially opening for the winter, and The Farmer’s Almanac is calling for a long cold snowy winter with our region taking the brunt of Old Man Winter’s fury.  Expect snow to start falling in November, and save up those sick days for the powder days being forecast! 

 

If you are planning to ski or ride even once this season you’ve got to pick up the new Mountain Creek My Mountain Card which has completes the product line up for this winter.  For just $39 the My Mountain Card includes your first lift ticket (a savings of up to $23), PLUS $10 off every additional lift ticket, all season long with NO restrictions.

 

The My Mountain Card is a great deal for anyone planning to hit the slopes even once this winter, and is also a perfect stocking stuffer or holiday gift for that skier or rider on your list, so be sure to pick one up while they last.  The My Mountain Card will be on sale at Mountain Creek, www.mountaincreek.com and all 30 Sports Authority stores in New Jersey, New York and Connecticut until December 24th.

 

It’s also a great addition to the new 5X7 Season Pass which provides unlimited lift access Monday through Friday, and weekend twilights after 3:00pm.   This combo is perfect for the customer who would hit the slopes a couple of weekend days, but not often enough to make the All Access Pass their best buy.  Perhaps you want the flexibility ski or ride occasionally with friends who have an All Access Pass, or to get out there early on a powder day?  With a My Mountain Card that first weekend day visit would be free, and any additional visits would be $10 off the regular walk-up price.

For avid skiers and riders, a Mountain Creek Season Pass is still the best deal around, and up to 30% more affordable than other resorts in the area, like the Poconos, plus of course there’s the savings on time and gas!  And good news for locals who might have missed the pre-season sale on Season Passes, it’s not too late to get in on the savings.  Season Passes will be available at the great early bird rates exclusively during the Vernon PAL fundraiser to be held at the PAL Building on Church Street on Tuesday, October 16th and Wednesday October 24th from 6pm-8:30pm, and Saturday October 27th from 9:30am12:30pm.  Adult All-Access Season Passes will be on sale for $399 and $349 for youth and seniors (65-79).  The new 5x7 Season Passes will be available for $199 for adults and $179 for youth and seniors.  Plus by purchasing through the PAL Sale, customers will help Mountain Creek and the PAL reach their goal of raising $50,000 for youth programs through this fundraiser.  

 

Mountain Creek is scheduled to open for the season on December 8th, and the new Mountain Creek South debuting on December 15th with the largest terrain park in the East, giving skiers and riders of all abilities a new playground for this winter!
