NJ Transit Bus Service from NYC

Mountain Creek is once again teaming up with NJ TRANSIT to offer weekend and holiday bus service from the New York Port Authority, between December 26^th and March 2^nd.

The bus service is an extension of bus route 194 from Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City.  Service will operate on weekends and holidays including New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Day and Presidents Day, and daily during the Christmas holidays from December 26 through January 1.  The bus will also pick-up passengers at the Willowbrook Mall Park & Ride in Wayne, between December 26^th and January 6^th, and thereafter at the new Wayne/Route 23 Transit Center beginning January 12^th, allowing New Jersey families to also take advantage of this service. 

Round trip rates from Port Authority are $20.50 for adults and $9.00 for children (ages 5-11), senior citizens and passengers with disabilities.  Round-trip fare between Willowbrook Park and Ride or the Wayne/Route 23 Transit Center, and the resort is $8.70 for adults and $4.00 for children, seniors and the disabled.  Customers should purchase their ticket prior to boarding the bus.  Tickets are available at Port Authority ticket windows and vending machines, or from the bus driver in Wayne.

“We’re happy to be able to again offer this service to our customers from New York City in order to make it as easy as possible for them to enjoy the great skiing and riding at Mountain Creek for a day trip or weekend visit,” said Bill Benneyan, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Mountain Creek.  “We have an exciting season planned with lots of great events and incredible overnight lodging packages at our luxurious slopeside Appalachian hotel or Black Creek Sanctuary townhomes, and this NJ TRANSIT bus service will enable more people to enjoy all the resort has to offer.”

The bus will leave from Gate 326 of New York’s Port Authority Bus Terminal at 7:30 am, stop at the Wayne location at 8:00am, and reach Mountain Creek at 9:12 am allowing for a full day on the slopes.  The return trip will depart Mountain Creek at 4:30 pm stopping in Wayne at approximately 5:40pm, and arriving back at the Port Authority Bus Terminal at 6:12 pm.  Local 194 stops will not be made on this special service.
