The Special Olympics of New Jersey Alpine Skiing & Snowboarding Competition will be held on the slopes of Mountain Creek January 28th and 29th.
Mountain Creek resort in Vernon, NJ will host a blood drive on Sunday, February 10, 2008.
From January 19th to the 25th, Mountain Creek will join with resorts nationwide in the National Ski Areas Association’s Safety Awareness Week, encouraging safe skiing and snowboarding by incorporating fun and unique ideas to engage the snow sports community.

When Mother Nature conspires with the best snowmakers in the business, amazing things can happen!  Thanks to this incredible teamwork, Mountain Creek is thrilled to announce that not only is Vernon Base opening with incredible conditions tomorrow, December 8th – and the new South terrain park will also debut -- one week early!.
Snowmaking has begun at Mountain Creek, with the powerful SnoLab26 taking advantage of the cold temperatures that have settled in, and turning its full force on key sections of Vernon and South peaks in preparation for opening day next Saturday, December 8th.
With the second measurable snowfall in as many weeks, local skiers and snowboarders are anticipating an incredible winter season at Mountain Creek.  The region has seen between 6-8” of natural snowfall to date, and the resort’s snow guns are ready to begin laying down a base as soon as temperatures permit in anticipation of opening day on December 8th.
Snow has begun to fall at Mountain Creek, and opening day is just around the corner.  Once again the resort is planning an exciting line up of events, with something for everyone including competitions as diverse as the Special Olympics Winter Games or the Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam, opportunities to ride with the pros such as the Nitro Team Tour, industry showcases like the Burton Super Demo, and more to attract riders and skiers of every age and ability level.

It’s that time of year again -- when New Jersey’s breathtaking rural landscape is draped in vivid shades of crimson and gold.  Apples and pumpkins are ripe for the picking, mums and asters are ablaze with color, and the explosion of fall foliage is nearing its peak, which according to the Farmers’ Almanac will occur between October 19th and 29th this year.

For the past seven years, Mountain Creek and the Vernon PAL have joined forces to help fund youth and family programs though an annual Season Pass sale, raising over $100,000 to date.  This year, the goal is to raise $50,000 in support of the many PAL programs for Vernon youth.

Mountain Creek has announced a major terrain park expansion, creating the largest park in the East. This new, all-mountain 60 acre terrain park will encompass both South and Bear Peaks, and result in five additional intermediate trails returning to the ‘backside’ of Vernon Peak where the award-winning terrain parks had formerly been located.
Nothing says summer like a good old fashioned chili cookoff, so mark your calendars now for Mountain Creek’s first annual Killian’s Red Hot Chili Cookoff on Saturday, August 18, 2007 from 11:00am until 5:00pm.  A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the St. Barnabas Burn Unit.
Mountain Creek Waterpark is pleased to announce the third annual Junior Girl Scout Day will be held on Saturday, June 16th.
For the past six years, Mountain Creek and the Vernon PAL have joined forces in active fundraising efforts to help fund youth and family programs, and are proud to announce the 2006 Season Pass Sale raised over $40,000 for the PAL, an increase of $9,000 over last year.

Signaling unified support for the Mountain Creek Resort Master Plan, the Vernon Township Planning Board last night unanimously approved the General Development Plan (GDP) for Mountain Creek.
