A Day at Camp:
Your child day begin's the day by joining their group, meeting their instructors, and get ready for the day. After the groups get settled the instructors will go through with their group the expectations for the day and create goals for each camper as they build their ski and boarding expertise. They will prepare at the base and journey to the destination on the mountain that best suits their skill level and take a lesson their until lunch. Campers will have lunch with what they brought from home or, if necessary, purchased from the food outlets at our base lodges. After lunch the campers will go into their afternoon activity, which will allow them to tube, zipline or ski/ride until their parents come to pick them up. Parents will meet their kids at the South Lodge after the long day of fun.
The Ski and Snowboard School staff is well prepared to teach skiers and riders of all skill levels. By splitting into groups by ability and discussing goals and expectations each camper is able to get exactly what they need out of the group lesson setting. Whether they are learning to take their first turns or honing in some final skills our instructors will be there to help them progress throughout the week.
The activities at Mountain Creek Winter Camp vary on a day-to-day basis and are created to be for campers of all types and skill levels. If a camper is unable to or chooses not to participate in an activity an instructor will partner with them to create a solution. Our hope is to create an environment of inclusion where campers are accepted and encouraged to reach their potential.
The counselors at Mountain Creek Winter Camp are experienced in instructing and supervising children of many ages, certified in first aid/CPR, and are eager to have fun this winter! The goal at Mountain Creek Winter Camp is to ensure a safe environment where campers can have fun and experience the winter in a new way. Our counselors do this by ensuring inclusion of all campers, supporting new ventures and experiences, as well as encourage team behavior. We ask that parents communicate to staff any issues that may impact a camper’s experience so that we can deal with it tactfully on our end!
